About Extra Life
Extra Life unites thousands of gamers around the world to play games in support of their local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised more than $30 million for sick and injured kids. Last year Imgur raised $22,000 and this year we hope to do $30,000!
About the Imgur event
Join the Imgur team and Imgurians from the SF Bay Area for 24 full hours of gaming. ExtraLife participants choose to play games for as long as they can and get sponsors to support the cause. It can be any game in any modes! PC, console, board games, handhelds, VR, RPG...you name it! We'll be live streaming the entire thing while we raise money for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own games of any type to share, play alone, or learn for the first time. Need some inspiration on what you could play? You could take on the full Dark Souls challenge run, learn how to play DnD with some friends, or get nostalgic with Diablo 2. Play Cards Against Humanity, Settlers of Catan, or lose friendships over a long game of Risk. Want to join a Smash Bros tournament with your fellow Imgurians? This is your chance!

Ticket Levels
As this is for charity, we are requiring a minimum ticket price of $45 to come and participate in the funtivities. All food, drink and fun will be provided and the proceeds from the tickets sales will go directly to Imgur's Extra Life team and our fundraising goal. You will only be able to bring your own rig and have your own dedicated event space if you choose the $95 Personal Battlestation. It's #ForTheKids!

If you're planning on gaming with us, we'd love for you to join the Imgur team and help us raise as much as we can for children's hospitals. Whatever you raise as an individual will join the big charity pot under the Team Imgur name.

I can't come, but I still want to donate. Shut up and take my money?
That's so kind! You can donate any amount directly to our Extra Life team. 100% of donations go to support the Children's Miracle Network.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
This is generally an adult-focused event, however we accept people of all ages. Any alcohol can only be consumed by those 21+ and we will check IDs.
What can I bring? Tech, food, drink etc.
If you're bringing your own technical equipment, please only bring one monitor and one stack per ticket. If you want to bring 3 monitors, you will need to buy 2 tickets as desk space is limited.
Feel free to bring any group games that you'd like to play with others.
What are the rules?
All attendees will be subject to specific rules about which areas of the office are out of bounds and more. Information will be provided to attendees.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Nope! Let's save trees while we save kids. We'll have a list of names ready at the door to check you in.
What time can I come?
If you're bringing your own rig or equipment with the Personal Battlestation Ticket, you may come as early at 9am on Saturday to start setting up. Other ticketed guests can come any time between 10am Saturday and 7am Sunday. Stay for the whole 24 hours if you want to join the Order of Lost Sleep.
Can I leave and come back?
Of course! Showering, sleeping, and eating are your friends.
