Welcome to MSU Denver POHA's 4th Annual Virtual Nutrition Diversity Conference! On September 6th, 2024*, explore nutrition across cultures and life stages!
Session recordings are available for 30 days following the conference. Be sure to access recordings by October 7. CEUs for recordings will be sent after the 30 days.
About the Conference: We aim to bring together a diverse community of nutrition and health professionals, students, and Registered Dietitian Nutritionists who are committed to advancing diversity and cultural humility through nutrition and dietetics.
Conference Highlights:
Thought-Provoking, Evidence-Based Presentations: Participate and listen to stimulating presentations on topics such as eating disorders in the Latine community, culturally congruent care practices for perinatal through aging populations, expanding the scope of public health nutrition, and the role of nutrition in preventing chronic diseases in diverse populations. The conference sessions have been approved by CDR for 20.5 CPEUs; including some ethics CPEUs. CPEUs will be available for both live and recorded sessions.
Interactive Workshop: Join Maya Feller and Juliette Blount for a unique interactive workshop designed to guide participants through addressing implicit bias and counseling with cultural humility. Worth 1.5 CPEUs.
Flavor-Forward Cooking Demonstrations: Participate in live cooking demos and practical sessions designed to equip you with valuable tools and strategies for incorporating diverse foods into your rotation and connecting with diverse cultures.
