March of Dimes Canada has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy. At the present time, all our employees must have two doses of a Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the commencement of their employment, or as otherwise recommended by public health authorities. We have been strongly encouraging all our employees to make arrangements to get their third dose as soon as it is available to them. Getting three doses of the vaccine will protect our clients, colleagues, families and communities from the virus. The third dose is already mandatory for those working in long-term care settings, and we anticipate that it will become mandatory for our sector in the near future. We will provide reasonable accommodation to individuals who are unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons or on the basis of any other protected ground, as required under applicable human rights legislation.
