About the Charlotte ToolBank

The Charlotte ToolBank is a non-profit tool lending program that provides other non-profits and charitable organizations in the greater Charlotte area with tools, special event equipment, and expertise. For a tool handling fee of 3% of the retail cost of each tool that is borrowed, our member agencies have access to those items for seven days.  By providing these savings, the ToolBank enhances the charitable sector's capacity to serve and enables a greater impact on the Charlotte Community.

We currently work with more than 300 active charitable organizations, providing access to 11,000 tools and special event items each year. Since opening in 2011, we have provided over $11 million in total value since our inception, which equates to over $10.6 million in savings for the non-profit sector.
