Freedom Rising: The Fierce Urgency of Now

This election season revealed the plain truth: Our nation is deeply divided on what it means to be a democracy and we—people ofmoral courage and fierce love—have a lot of work to do to save ourselves. Our commitment to justice, our determination to protect the most vulnerable, and our resolve to heal this nation must be stronger than ever. 

The time to act is NOW! 

On April 4-6, 2025, Middle Church and Freedom Rising will gather colleagues in New York City and online for The Fierce Urgency of Now conference. Join our team and a diverse cadre of visionary voices like Raquel Willis, Wil Gafney, Grace Ji-Sun Kim, LaTosha Brown, Robby P. Jones, David P. Gushee, Miguel De La Torre, Otis Moss III, Mark Thompson, Jacqui Lewis, and Hadrien Coumans. 

Together with preachers, poets, activists, artists, and writers, we will confront systems of oppression and ask the urgent question: Where do we go from here?.
