The Communicating the Future: Engaging the Public virtual conference platform is now live! Once you are registered, click the ‘Enter Event’ button on the upper right side to enter the full platform. We are looking forward to an incredible time of collaboration, networking and sharing knowledge with colleagues around the world.
Together we will delve into why the public and basic science should be connected and what current communication and engagement efforts are taking place, including the challenges and opportunities in this work. Ultimately, we intend to identify how scientists and professionals can work to engage the public with basic research as effectively as possible.
When you login, we encourage you to set up your profile, build your personal agenda and explore all the engaging programming that you get to experience over these two days. We think it’s an incredible line up, thanks in large part to this community for contributing topic ideas and content.

Technical Set Up: The conference platform works best on the Chrome browser. If you do not have the Chrome browser installed on your computer, you can do so by clicking here.
Accelevents does not support virtual backgrounds or blurring of backgrounds. If you plan to be on camera, please plan your conference location accordingly.
Meeting Principles and Practices: A core approach to fulfilling our mission is to bring people together to exchange ideas and discuss opportunities to advance science for the benefit of humanity. We include people with different backgrounds and experiences to enrich the conversations and contributions. We ask that all participants adhere to our meeting principles and practices. Please review these guidelines before you join the conference.

Networking: Being able to sit down with a colleague or two for a conversation is an important part of the experience. To facilitate this in the virtual world, our meeting site has lounges set up in The Connection Lounges section. Please join these lounges for the opportunity to interact live with other attendees! We will be adding new lounges throughout the program so check back often.
