Paws for Life Rescue

Thanks to our generous sponsors and donors, we have more than 370 fabulous items available to win. Every penny spent above and beyond the fair market value of the item is tax-deductible.

We will make arrangements with winning bidders for pick-up or delivery of their auction items beginning Saturday, Nov. 13. Many items are available for free shipping to anywhere in the U.S. or can be sent electronically, including the Swarovski Crystal purses, silk shawls, cashmere scarves, gift cards, travel and VIP packages, virtual experiences, everything in the Have Fun Locally section and most of the jewelry. Arrangements can be made for all other items to be shipped at the winner's expense.

Founded in 2007 in the metro Detroit area, Paws for Life is a 5-star, certified, all-breed dog and cat rescue and leading animal welfare organization in southeast Michigan. Entirely volunteer-run, Paws for Life has no paid staff and receives no government support. Every penny donated and raised goes directly to the animals in our care.

Paws for Life’s mission is to partner with shelters to rescue, rehab and rehome abandoned companion animals, matching animals with forever families, and to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Paws for Life's vision is to live in a world where all companion animals are treated with respect and dignity.

Paws for Life's values and goals:

• To reduce the number of homeless pets euthanized in area shelters
• To successfully match homeless dogs and cats with caring families who will provide a home for life
• To educate the public on animal welfare issues, such as prevention of animal cruelty and the suffering created by puppy mills, animal fighters and backyard breeders
• To promote humane education, spay/neuter initiatives and respect for all living things
• To participate in animal disaster training, preparedness and response in order to assist the animal community when in crisis and to mitigate animal injuries and deaths
• To improve the lives of animals in Michigan through collaboration with other organizations in the fight for animals and their welfare
• To be a driving force, leader and champion for animal welfare in Michigan
